It’s a way of making footprints only. There
are three main reasons for a vegan diet: nutrition, ecology and ethics.
There seems to be a limitless supply of websites
advocating veganism. And there are just as
many websites that advocate non-vegetarianism!
There are many advocates of both lines of
thought, but the facts speak for themselves...
“If you step back and look at the data [on beef and cancer], the optimum amount of red meat you should eat should be zero.” Walter Willet, M.D., Chairman of the Nutrition Department, Harvard School of Public Health
“The beef industry has contributed to more deaths than all the wars of this century, all natural disasters, and all automobile accidents combined. If beef is your idea of ‘real food for real people’ you’d better live real close to a real good hospital.” Neal Barnard, M.D., President, Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine
“When you see the Golden Arches, you’re probably on the road to the pearly gates” William Castelli, M.D., Director, "Framington Health Study”
National Heart, Lung, and blood Institute
...just to name a few.
